  1. I bet it's some sad little lady all by herself, nothing to do, and because you haven't directly benefited her or included her, she's lashing out. I would put eggs and bread and flowers together in a little gift basket, find the perpetrator and kill them with kindness. Hopefully they'll come around and leave you alone. Good luck, friend ❤ don't let the buttholes get you down 😆😉

  2. We’ve started having little bonfires in the front yard. Literally making tacos in the front yard and offering people food, to come and hang. It’s been really nice. We’ve met more people who are really supportive and it helps us not feel targeted for sure. #frontyardgarden #frontyardcommunity

  3. It is probably the property owners of the vacant homes. They are probably a corporate company and are trying to harrass you until you leave so they can buy that house too

  4. Jealousy paired with laziness is an ugly thing. If there's ever a shortage of food those will be the same people knocking on your door begging for help.

  5. People who called you ‘filthy people’ have never visited a farm. I am NOT calling people who live on farms filthy. What I am saying is that because of the nature of a farm, there is typically a lot of dust and rusty tin, bits a pieces, broken machinery etc around. Farms is where our food comes from. You go girl and grow your fruits and vegetables in your front yard and you let your kids play outside. You are living a good life and your kids will grow up knowing how to sustain themselves by growing food.

  6. Gardens were everywhere when I was a kid. I think we should all go back to growing and making our own bread! It's going to get rough. Let them hate and do you!

  7. Honestly, you are the type of neighbor I wish I had. We could exchange recipes, seeds and share veggies. I would be proud to live next door to you.

I hope you don't let those people get you down. Keep on living as you do and doing what's best for your family with healthy living through fresh foods and family time. Continue to make your surroundings an area where the neighborhood kids can go and have a great time.

  8. The sad part is the people complaining will happily get there door dash from a complete stranger in a car they don't know how clean is from a person they don't know washed their hands smh

  9. I love this story! I hope that your grumpy neighbor will come around and see the positive in what you're doing. I also think it's very cool that you're educating your kids and their friends about where their food comes from! ❤️

  10. I am also on a 1/4 acre lot in a neighborhood, also a corner lot. Thankfully I do have full sun in my backyard and do most of my homesteading back there for this exact reason. My front yard has a cute white picket fence and small grass yard and flowers and is beautiful in the summer but in the winter things die, leaves fall, mud gets everywhere and it looks awful. There is nothing we can do about it.
It so sad that people would rather see kids sent to school taught by others totally disconnected from family and kids glued to screens playing games and learning nothing over a family teaching their kids how to grow food, care for themselves, each other and animals and heaven help us even play with other kids and ride bikes.

  11. Sorry, girl. Keep doing you. The city should be giving fines away for bitchen and complaining. We have at least 2 in our neighbourhood that call on everyone, we live industrial area, which should be easier.
