BENTON, Ark. (KATV) — Benton Police were in for a pleasant shock this week when they were called to Olive Garden to deal with a “traffic hazard,” only to find a chunky marmot.
The furry fiend, who apparently decided to end his hibernation early, caused a public disturbance by running into the roads and scaring drivers near the restaurant.
“This bold little legend was out there in the middle of the road doing his best Rocky Balboa impression — dodging cars like a pro, practicing his frogger skills, living his best chaotic life,” Benton Police said in a post to their Facebook page.
Police say they were able to safely relocate the marmot to a more suitable habitat.
“Officers pulled up, had a serious heart-to-heart with him about his questionable training location, gently coached him on better life choices, and safely relocated him to a much more appropriate gym spot.”
