Many of you asked about the setback areas around my new house — here’s a full explanation!
We built an open house concept with large rooms (almost 16×16 ft each), which reduced our setback space.
We have only 2 feet on the right and back sides, and about 2.5 feet on the left, just enough for a comfortable walk.
Because of space constraints, we avoided placing a washing stone in the setback area.
Instead, we planned the washing setup on the terrace for better utility.
In the front setback area, we left about 5 feet for a small garden near the portico.
We’re planning to install a grass mat and walking stones to make it aesthetic.
At the back side, we’ve arranged for the grinding stone, cylinder space, and meter box.
Avoid placing these in the front/garden zone — plan your setbacks smartly!
Hope this helps you avoid common mistakes and design your dream home better.
