We bought this 2 bougainvillea Christmas’s ago and I think it is doing very well.  I miss the red one though.

Concerned_Itzl.jpg

As you can see by Itzl’s concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you’re not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

amaryllis

This looks a little straggly but this is the 2nd bloom it put out this month and there is a 3rd you see at the bottom of the stem that probably will not open.  But it is a plucky bulb.

another amaryllis and a few red headed irish strangers

Here is another already bloomed this month amaryllis but I do believe this new one will open.  We will see.  The irish strangers all have nice crowns of pink flowers.

burgundy night bloomer

These are a few of the buds on this night bloomer.  There are many fronds and all are filled with these finger sized buds.  It will be a while before they bloom but they will be huge and burgundy.

The wisteria here has faded already

I meant to get that picture last week so the blossoms are faded.  The greenery is just beginning to come in.

The bottom pond

The long leaves are water hawthorne and they have the flowers.  Those flowers a wonderful smell and the scent carries.  You see many of the resident fish, the smaller ones having been born in this pond a couple of years ago.  The small heart shaped leave is the first of the water lily I bought last year and those lily pads get huge.  I am glad to see the sprouts, and hope for beautiful purple water lilies in the spring/summer.

Canna

This is a new bulb for me.  It is a canna, orange if I remember right. I bought the bulb at ALDI just 2 weeks ago.  I am thrilled to see 2 sprouts so soon that look so strong.  I have hopes for it.

I hope you enjoyed a virtual walk through the parts of my garden that waking up.  Have a good day.
