I’m no expert but they look like they’re stretching for light, maybe lower the light a bit.

Put the light closer to the plants,
you can see the pants closest to the door leaning to the right,
because they get more light through the door than from the light right above them..

Light is too high. If your light doesn’t cover all of your seedlings at once lower…then you need to rotate the trays several times a day so they all get light. That particular model recommends 18-24 inches at 40-60%.

And you’ll need to use a fan to help strengthen their stems especially since they’re already getting leggy.

It looks like they need more light. I have the SF600 and found that the height they recommend is too far from the plants. Mine are set much closer than they recommend. You should download a light meter app on your phone and adjust based on that.

Every single one of your seedlings is stretching for more light.

As mentioned you may need to lower the light maybe 8″. As you lower the light the footprint of light will be reduced so you’ll also need to move the trays around daily to ensure all the plants get a good hit of light. +Fan

More light. You have a good light, but it should be 3-6 inches above the top of the plants.

This is *definitely* the light being too high. They need more light and they see it’s up there and want to get closer.

  9. Has the same light but not the same issue. As other have said. Run the light 50% and use a fan, lower the light to be about a foot from the plants. And at the end of the day, they will survive till you can get them outdoors so don’t stress.

Here’s what I would do if I were you: lower the light, then loosely put some foil around the plants to create a little more light for the ones further away from the light source.

I have a similar light and I’m pretty sure it’s only good for 60*60 cm of growing area and should be set around 40-50 cm above the plants.

  12. Get the cukes+zukes outside to save space. If it’s too early to put them out then you started too early and should probably scrap them and restart. You have a great light but you are trying to make it do the job of two, get it closer.

A lot of people have pointed out the light issu, but I’d also add that these cells aren’t suitable for zucchini and cucumber. They just grow way too quickly for small cells.

Zucchini and cucumber should be started in 4 inch pots only a few weeks before transplant. You probably only need a couple of plants. I grew 35
Lbs of cucumbers from 4 plants a few years ago.

As for light, download the photone app and shoot for a DLI of about 20 for seedlings.

  14. Also – that’s A LOT of cukes and zukes. How many people you feeding? Do you can and ferment? For example- 2 adults in my household- 3 summer squash plants to make and freeze casseroles for off season. 2 zucchini plants 1 for the squash vine borer 1 for us for fresh eating all picked very small. 4 cukes- 3 for pickling canned and fridge pickles and lacto ferments. 1 for fresh eating. I still grew too much. And gave away ferments and pickles to my grown kids.
