We all buy plants with plenty of hope and good intentions for their survival. However, many of us will find that after just a few months, they start to wither and die in the corner of our room. No matter how much or how little watering, and despite giving them plenty of sunlight, sometimes we just have inhospitable homes for real plants.
Enter, Dunelm’s Artificial Real Touch Pearl Palm Tree. Previously priced at £60, you can pick it up for £48 for a limited time. And with an average star rating of 4.7, it’s got glowing reviews from neglectful gardeners who want the look of a real plant but without the commitment of having to keep one alive and thriving.
One happy shopper writes: “Beautiful artificial palm tree and looks so realistic. So easy to spread out branches, which only takes minutes. Have had many compliments on it and would highly recommend.”

A second pens: “I have given up trying to grow a real palm in an insufficiently lighted situation, and this does a decent job of filling the space. It is still undeniably artificial, and the fronds will not always bend exactly where you want them to, but overall, it gives a pleasing effect. The pot is sufficiently heavy that I have no fear that it will topple over.”
“I’m really impressed with this plant. It looks really realistic.. take your time to mould it in the right direction you want it to go in but it looks really sophisticated and very real. I’m really happy with the purchase. It’s added character to my living room,” says a third.
Though reviews are largely glowing, a few do note that they opted to put it in a different pot, with one noting: “Would be better in a larger pot”.
If you’re shopping around for other homeware additions in spring sales, Dunelm’s Catherine Lansfield Cosy Ribbed Throw is a great option, as it’s made from plush velvet with a chic ribbed design and adds texture and luxury to your space, making it perfect for relaxing.
However, if you fancy saving £2 on your purchase, an eye-catching deal off the high-street could tickle your fancy. Over at Yimbly, the Deyongs Alnwick Supersoft Ribbed Plush Throw is now just £18.75, down from £60, saving your a whopping £41.25 on your order. Plus, it looks just like the Catherine Lansfield Cosy Ribbed Throw.
