    You should make a plan were the stairs will be going before you start anything, put the fire place back were it was and could have the stairs along the wall were you said the new fire place will go

    Pro tip, put a drop cloth or old towel under the furniture. Slides super easy. Great for remodeling when you have to keep shuffling stuff.

    Here in New Zealand we call any holiday accommodation or home that is either on a coastal area, lake or river frontage a bach or a crib. I think "The Crib" sounds like a good name for your beautiful second home. Ps: did you draw the squirrel on one of your trees?🐿😅

    One of the things you may want to invest in later is a generator and I don't mean a poll generator that you have to start every single time I'm talking about. A generac or something similar so that when you are away, your food doesn't spoil that you've had in the refrigerator 44 or five days since you've been there, just a thought

    I live alone. My closest family members are twenty miles away. They have jobs and kids so are not always available. I have two sets of identical keys that I keep in my purse. I also have keys to my kid's house. They each have a set of keys for my home. What I'm trying to say is get four keys for your cabin. One for each of your keychains and a set for each vehicle. That way, you shouldn't be locked out again.

    When your cabin is finished, you will have a four season resort to escape day to day life. That will be amazing. You both are such hard workers. It will be nice to just reap the benefits of your dedication to pushing forward despite freezing weather and some unpleasant situations. ❤
