  1. I’ve got a 60 ft hedge of Rosemary, it does indeed thrive on neglect and poor soil. All my rosemary grew from cuttings from one plant. It’s a great plant for the hot climate I live in.

  2. Im in 7b. I have a rosemary bush that is about 6 years old. It has become brown and woody in the middle but the outter foot is lush and green. This has happed to 2 of my 7 bushes. How do i fix it?

  3. I am in ELoy and just lost one of my huge plants, I am wondering if it is getting too much water, How much water should large stablished plants get weekly, currently on a drip system

  4. Can rosemary be revived? I bought a small pot placed it in a sunny area and watered it when it appeared dry but it now looks dead. What can be done. Don't want to throw it out.

  5. Thank you for your tips, but I no longer take anyone seriously who says rosemary is easy to grow. I can't keep rosemary alive to save my life (central Texas). I water it, it dies. I don't water it, it dies. I've tried getting the right soil. I've tried inside and full sun. The best I can do is a few months and it spontaneously dies. Even the sprigs I just put in water in a glass to sprout roots just die. My beets, arugula, cilantro, and tomatillo and purslane grow like the national debt, so I know I'm not that bad at growing stuff.

  6. I think i am killing my poor Rosemary. Now im told, apparently too much watering and fertilizer. Why didn't I find your channel earlier?

  7. I put my rosemary plant outback in the ground and left it and it has grown pretty big more than quadrupled its size in two years.

  8. Hi Angela, I grew up in Mesa, how cool to run into you!
Very informative video, thank you. I'll try propagating from a (healthy) plant in the spring.
Do you have any info on rosemary seeds? I bought my plant this year from a garden center in PA. It hasn't flowered for _me_. Little black dots are forming and exploding from even new branches. I've tried to search for what rosemary seeds look like, but get only seed sellers who show the mature plant. Am I overreacting, or is this truly some sort of disease? It doesn't appear to be any of the common ailments for rosemary.

  9. Thank you so much for this detailed information very valuable. I just found this treasure for myself in regards to healing improving breathing, cognitive response, etc. I love it living in the more. There’s a climate now, but I would like to know which type of rosemary would you recommend the most for the healing benefits thank you God bless.

  10. It’s not easy to grow for me… I have killed every single plant I’ve ever bought 😑 I’m not giving up though… NEVAH!!! 😂

  11. Hi Angela, Thank you for this video! It is very much appreciated 💚 I have a very difficult time growing Rosemary more than any other plant I’ve encountered. I was wondering if the size of the transplant you buy matters? Would it be better to purchase a more established (larger) or a smaller transplant? Does the size affect how well the transplant takes & does it factor into the degree of transplant shock? Also, do you suggest breaking up/loosening the rootball before planting & is it necessary to trim the leaves down a little bit right after transplanting??

  12. I wish I saw this earlier. My rosemary is not doing well at all and I'm trying to salvage what's left by propagating. So you said don't fertilize or water. Does that mean never water this plant? What if it's a container plant or in a cold climate? Thanks.

  13. Hello I just got a rosemary pot, but the gardener said that it will suffice in just the morning sun , that is just a few hours from like 8am to 12pm in winters and 6am to 12 pm in mornings as my place doesn’t really get sunlight after that. Should that work?

  14. Hi angela. From Tucson. I enjoyed this video. starting my propagation today. Hopefully roots come by 2 wks.

  15. Okay, but how often do I water newly planted rosemary in El Paso, Texas? Every few days? Once a week? How much water do I give them?

  16. I thrive on neglect as well… funny how I was just talking about lavender and rosemary OUTSIDE W/O PHONE and I get two videos… this and lavender… brain waves being read more often these days….

Nice video, that calendar looks great.

  17. I bought a lavender from the garden centre in a plastic pot. I forgot all about it and it somehow ended up behind my camellia tree on its side. About three years later I noticed a bush behind the tree. I had a look, and it was a very healthy rosemary bush bursting its roots out of the plastic! I lovingly transferred it to a specially bought terracotta pot and put it in the sun. It died within a few months 😂
