Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a long-beloved game around here, though to call it a game is a bit of a stretch. It’s more of a gamefied aid. While it has avatars to dress up, animals to collect, and spaces to decorate, the primary function is to create a space to focus.
With the aid of task lists, pomodoro timers, and a habit tracker, you’re meant to create your very own happy space, complete with soundscapes, ambient lighting, and lo-fi music playlists.
While I do appreciate the serene space, I’ve always used it more for the creative side. My focus is always on creating avatars, decorating spaces, and getting all the variant colors. So, for me, the DLCs have always been a joy. They offer new spaces, new companions, and new items to wear or furnish with.
So, realistically, do you NEED Enchanted Garden? No. If your goal is to just vibe and get shit done, then you’re good with the base game. However, if you’re like me and you want to continue growing your environment and companions, then yes, you absolutely are going to want to grab Enchanted Garden.
Before, we had a bedroom, then a kitchen, and the last DLC brought us the fun of a train car. This time, we have a flourishing garden with three different areas to decorate: garden, greenhouse, and gazebo. Whether you want to create a charming wrought iron gothic space or fill the garden with whimsical mushrooms, you’ve got the freedom to do that. Hell, even the humble, ever classic farmer is invited to create their own environment.

Along with the new spaces, there are a few new items of clothing for the person who wants to get dirty in the garden or have a quaint picnic on the lawn. There are new hats, tops, pants, dresses, shoes, and gloves to adorn yourself with.
If you’re in it for the companions, there are 13 new garden-themed cuties to collect! Most of them are brand new, but some are variants of the core game companions. If you want a fantastical version of Waxolotl, Hedgelog, Moonpaw, Inkster, or Earlybirb, then you’re going to want to snag this DLC.
Personally, my favorites from the pack are brand-new for this DLC, but I won’t spoil them for you.
Lastly, this DLC brings new activities to idle with, like gardening, making potions, watering, and playing music.
If you’re looking for something to express your creativity and settle into for focusing, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a must. And, if you love whimsy and gardens, the Enchanted Garden DLC should be in your cart as well!
I’m fortunate enough to get the DLCs for review, but even before I was sent a code, I was planning on adding the DLC to my cart. Twice! I’m not the only one in this house who enjoys the serenity of having Spirit City: Lofi Sessions up on the computer. In fact, my husband has logged far more hours into this one than I have!
