A woman and child were taken to hospital after a car flipped and ploughed into a garden in a horror crash in Glasgow.
Emergency services raced to the single-vehicle smash involving a Kia Sportage on Shieldhall Road in the city’s Drumoyne area at 1.35pm on Sunday, March 22. Crews attended and a woman and child were found injured.
The woman was raced to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries. A girl was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
A police probe has since been launched into the collision, with inquiries into the circumstances ongoing. The road was closed for nearly four hours to allow investigation work to take place.

Ring doorbell footage taken from a neighbouring home captured the moment the Kia left the road on Sunday afternoon. The 4×4 rolled multiple times over the pavement and a barrier before eventually coming to a stop and landing sideways in a front garden.
Debris could be seen flying across the street as the terrifying collision took place.
One local said: “It all happened so quickly. It’s a miracle nobody happened to be walking on the pavement or in the garden when the crash took place.
“There were bits off the car flying everywhere and the road was closed for quite some time.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.35pm on Sunday, 22 March, 2026, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on Shieldhall Road, Glasgow.
“One woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries, whilst a female child was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
“The road was cleared around 5pm and inquiries remain ongoing.”
