We have very tall trees in our yard that provide wonderful shade for our house and yard and we have had them professionally cut back. The neighbors who live on the other side of the fence decided to cut off all the branches that face their house – I guess to keep debris from falling on the roof of their shed.
Is this going to cause long term damage to the trees or make them unstable? Any advice?
Thanks!

your neighbor is an asshole
Here before someone posts r/treelaw
Crush him with tree law
how did he even get all those ? lol is he a climber? those are way out of pole saw reach right?
It looks like he just “property-line trimmed” the branches that were hanging over his property; which is legal in my state and the surrounding states.
It won’t die from this but it won’t sprout back on that side again, either.
Dick move on your neighbor’s part but most likely within their rights
If your neighbor didn’t kill those trees, the ivy will.
