😢 we are usually cold right now. I put my lettuce out, but I am so nervous.
Its crazy in Florida the plants don't know what do .
I am starting to grow my strawberry in pots
I'm in Cape Town South Africa. We just had the highest temperatures for Autumn. I think it was approaching 110 F. i have some Delicious Monsters planted outside. They scorched in the dappled shade. My indoor plants also scorched from the intense sunlight. I'm confident our cooler temps (lowest temps 44-47 fahrenheit) will give a reprieve this winter.
The weather is really making my plants not know what to do lately lol luckily things are starting to get green around. We've been in such a bad drought lately here in Central FL. I lost so much this year.
Brilliant video guys, love all your videos and live stream 🌱🌻
❤❤❤ hope the numbers say positive.
I'm so happy your channel is starting to work itself out. You deserve so many great things in life ❤❤
Some of my vagetable got like that to and I was wondering have u ever used blood meal, alfalfa meal, bone meal and are u still using Epsom salt I still remember you using Epsom salt when you first started
I'm so happy y'all have turned a corner for the better! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey there Calikim, I’ve been wondering what happened with your smart pots??? And how they haven’t been on your livestreams anymore? Things happen and life changes all the time so that’s what I’m thinking happened.
I agree our weather has been crazy and it keeps us on our toes! I agree so much peace and healing comes from our gardens. Great job on the building of this community. Happy Gardening ☀️🌻🐝💛
Wow. I've heard of YT unsubbing people. So glad you're in the positive again. … Yes, wacky weather everywhere. Good luck with your pepper plants. Hope they thrive! 🌶️
I have been a subscriber for a few years, but last year I noticed I was not getting any NOTIFICATIONS. And yes, I was no longer Subscribed. Had to Subscribe again! I enjoy your videos! Thank you both for all your work you put into it, it definitely shows!
Totally can't plant outside just yet Last night it was 20° here in Pennsylvania and Friday it's gonna be 18° at night crazy 😑 but soon i will be planting my spring plants outdoors 🤗 looking fwd to it 🩷 y'all have a great blessed day! ❤️ ya
Yes maybe what about alfalfa meal ever use on your vegetables
Thank you so much for your conscientious advice, Jerry. There’s unlevelled ground everywhere here 😅❤🙇🏻♀️💐
I'm so happy the numbers are on the positives for you again. I have been watching you for a long time so it's always great to hear positive news.
This heat really has done a number on my mental health. I realize the temperatures are not great for my cool season flowering plants that haven't even bloomed yet. It feels like I wasted a lot of time, energy, and money all for the weather to do what it's currently doing. I know we can't control the weather but it still hurts. 😢
Sending love and strength. Very glad to see your smiles at the end ❤❤❤
I noticed that a lot of the YouTube channels I watch, it showed that I no longer followed…and I did not change anything. So now I keep an eye on all of them to make sure they don’t unsubscribe me on channels I like.
Kim…such hot weather, I went for it and planted sugar babies. I know how they love heat for germination. I got 'em! Now I have to hope we don't get too cold. I usually don't plant these until June.
Also, my gladiolus are about to bloom! Again, this is typically in June.
Nature is a wonder 🤔Praise be to God. *Drea
First off I want to say you’re a garden genius! Because of you my garden game completely changed!!! I’ve been doing what you have been doing and planting a little throughout the year when a plant is done, I amend the soil and replant something! Well I thought I was behind in my vegetable garden because we all got sick in my family. But I went out with my seeds because I didn’t seed start this year from being sick but thought it’s been so warm that I just would direct sow this year. When I went to the garden I had forgotten about my planting and found I had new sprouts everywhere and everything is thriving!!! Thank you Kim for such an easy way to garden!!!! I’m so happy. So I just filled in a few empty spots and I was done.
As for this crazy winter or lack there of…. I planted eight broccoli and eight cabbage and I was left with two cabbage that just started to head and four broccoli bushes the size of an artichoke bush! It’s been so hot that they either fried in the heat or grew without broccoli heads. So I decided that I was going to harvest the broccoli leaves to have a win somewhere and omg broccoli greens are spectacular so delicious then what do you know? The heads finally started forming so we have been tons of broccoli leaves and broccoli florets. I had planted Bok Choy and that replaced my cabbage this year. So even though I had some weather challenges, I also had surprising victories too. I’ve only had one lettuce bolt so far.
Thank you again Kim!
Ok I will and remember I see you on the next video ha
I have been taking pictures of the skies the past few years. I see why the weather is so funky….blue sky in the morning, then they fly over, then the weather changes with the newly made "clouds". Strange winds, strange heat, strange cold. All by design. I show people the pictures and they just shrug. Right before our eyes and a shrug. Lol
I hope you and your friends get through this tough time ok.
Yes YT have been removing old and bot accounts for some time now. Not sure if you are subbed to VidIQ, but they did a video about this a while back. YT are also removing a bunch of AI slop accounts too. There are accounts out there who try to sell "subscribers" and they use bots to subscribe to a channel. Funnily enough some AI channels are using bots to inflate their view and sub counts. The quick increase in views, is what is alerting YT to remove them. Glad to hear your sub count and watch hours count are back on the increase.
It's crazy weather atm. There are reports of landslides in the NW of US and France are also experiencing a lot of avalanches due to the lack of the wrong type of cold snow, so when it actually is snowing, it just has been falling off the mountains instead. We have been quite cold for the time of year atm, so hoping that the temps pick up for us soon. Take care and hope you get a respite from the heatwave soon.
Well we are also getting blasted by heat in So Arizona. We are at 4700 ft and already had to move everything out of the greenhouse. Repairing one of our raised beds and just waiting for the weather to cool down to plant.
Wow that ,s crazy I well definitely make sure Iam subscribed well as fare as the garden goes It has been a crazy beginning to the 2026 gardening season I hope your summer garden does better
