I got into jigsaw puzzles during covid and have learned a few things:It's helpful to choose puzzles that are appealing as artwork to make the process most pleasant, are busy with lots of details, and don't have too much of one colour. I love the Lore Pemberton puzzles you did. May I suggest you look at puzzles with art by Charles Wysocki, Angela Holland, Bonnie White, Victoria ball-I -love the company Galison for puzzles. Hi Allison! Looks like what I call "cut worms". Not sure if that is their true name. Check around the base of the plant about 1" to 2" down. They come out at night crawl around the stem and will chop down the top of the young plant and eat it through the night leaving just a little stub. Unless of course you are seeing the bunny. Just thinking a bunny would have done more by feasting on a bit more plants. The worms are brown and match in with the mulch and dirt. Dig slowly when you are searching for it. 🙂

That quilt is just so beautiful! It looks so nice where you put it. I love to watch the cardinals and the bluejays and we have wood pecker too, so pretty. I’ve read it’s good to put a stone or something similar in a bird bath for bees, etc. to land so they don’t drown.

Hi. About your bougainvilla, we have ours too that got hit by the Florida freeze and I thought she was a goner. But do the scratch method where you use your fingernail to scratch the stem/bark. If you see green, then the plant is still alive. You have to cut back and trim until you see green. Ours is making new beautiful leaves now and I just gave her a huge trim. Good luck!

Yay to the birdbath! We’ve had one for six years now, live south of you on the east coast of FL, and we’ve never had a problem with mosquitos. Once the birds figure out it’s there, they’ll stop in for a sip, bath or both. Black birds will make a mess of it when breeding season starts for them. And, you’ll get to see the personalities of the different birds that show up. Enjoy!

I love what your doing for the birds! I’m on the West Coast of Fl and we’ve created a little ecosystem for all the creatures and critters. We have two humming birds who are here pretty much all day long, no feeder just plants, a Carolina Wren who is on her third year of making a nest in the same spot, so many cardinals, titmouse, and various other birds. I just cleaned up our bird baths, we have two in different areas and I added rocks to the one in the back for the hummingbirds. This time of year is so special.
