Collected last season, growing vigorously, and I think it has potential!

I've never attempted a "clump" style before (advanced stuff..definitely not as straightforward as my formal uprights..), so I figured I'd ask the experts here for some tips. Thanks in advance!

I’d let it grow. I’m growing a lot of kabudachi, I might make a post soon. (I think a ton of people are though, ever since Bjorn released that kabudachi video).

Thanks for the reply! Letting it grow always works. Haha.

Would love to see what you’re working on as well!

  3. What species is it?

In general, the goal of a clump style is a full, dense canopy with lots of twigginess/ramification. Trunk movement is less important, that being said all of your trunks are pretty straight and lack taper. I’d consider cutting all your trunks back by half, and when new shoots grow wire some movement in them before they get too thick/stiff.

As s clump style. Select the front based on the nebari.
