
Nitrate accumulation caused the margins of leaves to die. Margins were normal before but excessive nitrate fertilization (MSU Orchid Fertilizer), low pH of the nutrient solution likely rendering molybdenum unavailable, and low molybdenum resulted in the margins dying off.
Copper deficiency caused the leaf to grow smaller on the left side. If this were a longer leaf plant, it would cause the leaf to noticeably curve. Copper is one of the nutrients that oxidize quickly so it falls out of solution.
