I have these plants in the front of my house. I live in central Illinois so it gets quite cold in the winter and has just started warming up recently. As you can from the first picture, there’s no green in that one, the second picture has some green leaves and third one has the most green out of all three.

    Not dead just winter burn. If there’s green inside it’ll bounce back after pruning

    They look like boxwoods, and there is some green growth. Maybe cut back some of the brown spots and see what happens. Boxwoods grow pretty quickly.

    Water them well a few days and see what happens

    Boxwoods are such little baby ass plants. Get rid of them and replace with something tougher

    Are they on the south or west side of your home? Broad leaf evergreens suffer from the winter sun.  They do better on northern  eastern sides of homes or sheltered from direct southern exposure in the winter.  If the boxwoods are exposed to winter sun this will be an annual issue.
