Our backyard garden has to have a fence or the hungry Yardbirds will eat up our crops. Taking on the challenge of cultivating this overgrown lot into a garden has been harder than I would have thought. We’re making progress on our new garden design! Planning a garden takes a lot of thought, especially when considering companion planting for optimal growth. Getting the garden plan just right, including a garden trellis for our peas, is key to success. Even the backyard chickens are supervising our garden plans.
