Rylan Clark was left stunned during the latest instalment of his BBC Radio 2 show after his co-star made quite the revelation. During the first half of his weekly programme, Rylan read out a dilemma from a listener who had found her dream home – but discovered that the garden had once been a graveyard.

The listener, named Lilly, told him: “My husband and I have just found our dream house, the only problem is I found out that it was the burial ground for the people during The Plague. My husband is obviously not worried at all, but I am absolutely terrified of ghosts. Should I give up my dream house because of the ghosts?”.

Rylan didn’t hesitate to suggest she should immediately give up the house – but his co-star Sally Boazman had a very different take.

“No, I’ve got graves in my garden,” she confessed. Stunned by her admission, the host jokingly asked: “Did you put them there?”, before quipping that she “seemed the sort”.

“I didn’t kill them and bury them,” Sally replied. “A ridiculous question, but no – I’m in a place where, well, the church is still there, but my garden was a part of the burial ground. So, I’ve actually got some bodies under my garden. Mind you, the grasses do really well.”

Seemingly stunned, Rylan laughed as she continued: “My daffodils are huge this year.”

“I bet they are,” he replied, before adding: “Okay, this has [taken] a turn, Sally’s got bodies in the garden.”

Reassuring the listener that there was nothing to worry about, she added: “It’s not a scary thing to have bodies in your garden.”

Later in the show, Rylan’s mum, Linda, shared her thoughts on the situation, urging Lilly to avoid purchasing the property. Linda is a regular contributor to her son’s show, much to the delight of listeners.

In January, however, she sparked concern among fans after revealing she had suffered a fall and injured herself. The Celebrity Gogglebox star fractured her shoulder after slipping on ice while taking out the rubbish.

Speaking to Rylan on air at the time, she explained: “I just went flying and I hurt my arm again,” adding that it was “black” and “so sore” from the bruising.

Recalling the moment he found out about his mum’s fall, Rylan said to her: “Well that was a lovely phone call I got that morning, you on your way to hospital. But it could’ve been worse, it could have been your arm and your leg like we’ve had before.”

The presenter then played a song at Linda’s request and thanked listeners for their supportive messages.

“So many of you getting in touch, thank you, yeah she is alright by the way,” he added. “She’s fractured her shoulder, I just can’t help her, you know what she’s like, rushing around doing stuff.

“In all fairness though, it was an accident, she just slipped on some ice.”
