There's absolute swarms of them and I'm pretty sure they have been eating my beans/roots. I usually leave critters alone but just wanted to double check that they aren't a pest as I'm about to try and sow some seeds for the cooler months.

I’m fairly sure they only eat dead plant matter so long as it’s available
Or if they can’t get enough calcium. You could grind up some eggshells and sprinkle it around and if they are eating your plants for calcium, they should stop
roly-poly / isopod
they can eat seeds but they’re generally harmless
They can be pests but they’re also a big part of a healthy garden. When they get into huge numbers they have been known to eat healthy plant matter. I have heaps in my garden but I leave them alone and I don’t lose too much to them.
Do nothing, they only eat decomposing materials and are good for the garden.
Slaters! Normally they are not a problem with mature plants and large seedlings, however they will happily decimate small seedlings. You can raise seedlings in pots and transplant them into garden beds when they are semi-mature. You can also try making ‘collars’ for the seedlings in the garden beds by using toilet roll inner cardboards, this will restrict access to the plant, but it’s not foolproof.
Leave those slaters alone to do their job, they are detritivores, they eat the decaying matters and restore nutrients back into the earth. They’ll only be eating bits of your plant if they are decaying from some other unrelated issue.
Mini armadillo
Nothing they are good
I’m pretty sure slaters (pill bugs to the Americans) come from the same family as lobsters. Thermidore?
For some reason when I was a kid I named them ‘chuggie pigs’! So that’s their name by me!
Leave them alone!
