Planning on laying 100 m^2 of sir Walter in Saturday (sometime in the morning). I have myself and 3 friends helping. I've put down a layer of a special lawn mix sand as a 80-100mm top soil. Is this too much rain to plant? Thanks!

Na never enough when just laid . Perfect conditions!
Other than potentially being muddy underfoot, she’ll be right
The heat and rain is perfect for growth, but make sure you get it down before it starts getting wet as all of your soil preperation goes out the window when you leave big sunken boot prints in it. Then stay off the turf for at least 3 weeks so that the roots have at least attempted some structure and solidified the loose dirt up. Really you shouldn’t be on it at all until first mow
But really, it’s fine you can deal with some wonky levelling later or back when spring comes around
You want the turf absolutely soaked when it goes down. A sprinkler also helps to avoid burn from heat and sun.
It is deceptive how much water is needed.
A good soaking will avoid any drying out initially in the critical stages
Naaa should be fine
Do it
You joshing us? You want it
