Want your garden to look beautiful and colourful now the sun has returned? You should consider planting this pretty flower.
Apparently, echinacea flowers could be an absolute game-changer for sprucing up your outdoor areas. That’s because the blooms have large, showy petals.
They tend to come in cheerful pink or purple colours, but can also be white or yellow. Echinaceas are also known as coneflowers due to their distinctive cone-shaped centres.
They grow between two to four feet, so they look gorgeous in garden borders without getting lost among all the other foliage you may have going on.
The flowers are popular in gardens for their beauty and ability to attract wildlife. They are known for being low maintenance and attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies, which should benefit other parts of your yard too.

Convinced to get some of the flowers yet? Here are some all-important planting tips you need to know.
Gardener Ish says March is the perfect time to plant echinaceas – urging you to act quickly and get them in the ground within the next few days to avoid missing this golden opportunity.
He explained in a TikTok video: “Today I’m going to be adding some height and drama into my borders with some echinaceas. Whether you’ve got them in full sun or partial shade, echinaceas will absolutely thrive and can reach heights of up to a metre.
“Place them somewhere with well-drained soil, and they’ll continue to thrive and give you a burst of colour throughout the seasons.”
Ish revealed he would be planting his flowers in containers instead of directly into the soil, as this gives him better control over drainage.
He recommends placing the pots at the back of his border so other plants would hide them and create a “dramatic” peek-a-boo effect.
The gardening enthusiast bought his echinaceas from Morrisons, where he pointed out they’re available as bare roots ready for planting straight into the ground. He also described the plants as “budget-friendly”, having spent just £2 for three.
He added: “They look like little tiny roots with a bit on top. You want to make sure that pointed bit is pointing up – that’s the important part.
“Ideally, you want to plant these about four inches below the ground. Spread the roots out and lay them in the soil, and then just cover.”
