Hi everyone, I need some advice on my Philodendron Green Princess.
I repotted it about 2–3 months ago, but I think I did it too early in winter. I moved it from its old soil into a much coarser mix that doesn’t hold water well. Since then, it has been gradually losing leaves and the remaining leaves are very floppy.
I also added a moss pole, but the plant hasn’t developed any aerial roots. I suspect it’s struggling to get enough water because the substrate is so coarse.
My question is: would it make sense to temporarily put the plant completely in water so the roots are always in moisture, or is that a bad idea? Or should I try changing the substrate to a finer mix instead? How long does it usually take for Philodendron roots to recover and start thriving again after repotting?
Any advice would be really appreciated!
