Hi Community, my partner and I just got this from my MIL. It is important to her and I promised to take care of it. it will be with us permanently.

-Indoor

-NE USA

-According to her water every 10 days

-tbh the uhaul to get it to my place was not ideal

measurements:

-5f 5in tall

-2f leaf spread

-1f 6in to 2f leaf length

-base/pot

—10 in wide

—9 in deep

—6 to 7 in of soil

My questions (open to other advice):

-what kind of plant

-confirm watering schedule and how much

-some soil was lost in transit what is the best to replace it with and how much

-it leans and will fall over if not propped:

—should I buy a bigger bottom unit (is so how big), the current one is just plastic. if so how do I move it from pot to pot

—can it be enclosed because it is going to be on carpet

-how much sunlight? I have a bay window facing east

-anything I missed

thank you in advance

Just noticed the questions. East window, it can handle some direct sun.
Yes, pot it in a 12 inch diameter pot with drainage hole(s).
Check for water on a schedule but only water when the soil is fairly dry. & do that for a few weeks before transplanting to get a feel for more or less how fast it uses water. Water needs will vary according to temperature, soil, humidity & light. Water thoroughly when the soil is mostly dry until water comes out the drainage hole, but never leave the pot sitting in a saucer of water more than a few hours. Some people bottom water, but if you have a lot of minerals in your water, watering the top of the soil is best.
