I have this Yucca in my yard, it's grown a lot since I moved in
it's getting closer to the fence as it grows and I'm concerned that it will cause damage to the fence in the future.
is it worth removing it?
How big a job will that be?
Could I just cut it down to ground level or would I need to dig it out?

Yes, remove it. That fence is at risk.
Cut it down to the base now to get rid of the pressure on the fence from the trunk. Then you can worry about the root ball.
Easy enough to get rid of. If you have a hand saw or a mate with an electric one you will make short work of it. Pull the spikes off and cut it in sections from the top. Once you’re at the base get the shovel out and dig baby dig. I cleared my fence line that way. I would suggest Lilly pillys as a replacement. Fast growing and provide great privacy.
Lol, don’t even bother asking this sub **IF** you should remove a yucca. Answer will be overwhelmingly yes, unless you trying to create a spiky wall of injury…
How is a different question.
Every answer: why isn’t it on fire already! 🔥
Death to it ☠️
It’s the only wayyy
Can we change the name of this sub to AusYuccas?
Eeeek good luck!
