The new H.G.R Mews Community Centre Garden is officially opening for the 2026 season, and we want YOU to be a part of our growing community. Residents of all skill levels are invited to apply to join us in creating an inclusive, vibrant space for gardening and community connection.

The new Community Garden features:

Inclusive Design – Accessible raised beds and barrier-free pathways
Equal Opportunity – Plots will be assigned through a random draw to ensure fair access
Shared Success – Access communal tools, water on site, a shared “Community Bed”, and great tips from your garden neighbours.

How to Apply:

Complete a Community Garden Bed Request Form and email it to healthycommunities@stjohns.ca. Printed forms are available at the front desk of H.G.R Mews Community Centre, 60 Blacker Avenue, and Paul Reynolds Community Center, 35 Carrick Drive and can be returned to either Centre.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on March 30, 2026.
Successful applicants will be contacted in the first week of April 2026.
