This is not a scam. However you need very secure ropes or wires to support what becomes very heavy pots. I use to put pelargoniums into broken coloured glass bottles attached upside down to the wall and they looked lovely. Your eye instinctively sees the plant first when they are planted this way. 👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🙏🏻
plants grow toward the sun. wouldn't they eventually curve upward for the sunlight? and all the branches will be crowding each other, and watering certainly will be messy!
Made my SweetHaught one of these. Anytime she wanted the grape tomatoes she loved…. She just walked out on the porch and and picked herself a few tomatoes. Great in salads!!!!.
The problem with this way of growing tomatoes is that the leaves must not get wet, and when watering from above, the water runs down and wets the leaves. Sideways is better than upside down. Water (and all the bacteria with it) can rot out the stems like that. Through the side, like hanging tomato baskets usually are, does the same thing except with 2-4 plants per hanging pot

How does it give them more sunlight? If anything it would give them less, because the pot itself would block some of the sunlight.

I think if you hv coconut fibers you can place then in the pot to help absorbed the water to feed the plant. That's what I did with mind
