I got some potted mums on clearance last year. Some got into the ground before it froze, some did not. To my surprise, all of them now have green growth! …. but it looks different on each plant. I can’t for the life of me decide if any of them is a chrysanthemum, or if they’re all mugwort and other undesirable things.
The first two photos are the same plant, top and underside. The others are separate plants.

Why so eager to pull up potential weeds anyway? The season just started, mugwort can wait!
