So this week i found a cute garden that was becoming overgrown and decided to pull over and knock on the door. I was greeted by a lady called Athens who had told me she had recently suffered from some hip problems and could no longer take care of this yard.

She was relying on her son over the past few years to maintain this property but since he has been though some back problems recently the yard had become out of control to the point where the landlord and council were both stepping in!

The landlord was unhappy with the driveway and backyard and the council was unhappy with the bushes out the front!

So we got the trusty tools out and cleaned this place up at no charge to Athens!! This is only possible because of all of you!! So thank you so much for watching and for the support and i will see you in the comments section!!

Your friendly gardener

Guillaume

  1. It's like a treasure hunt every time I watch one of your videos. You never know what to expect under all of the tall grass and that's what makes it so much fun to watch besides the animals. Love the black cat at the beginning. Great job as always. You and Aiden rock!!! Good man using the tarp.

  2. Amazing work! I just found your channel! On his channel Midlife Stockman, Sean uses something called a Ninja Star for really tough vegetation. It has a star- shaped metal blade instead of a string. Maybe that would make it easier than the string trimmer.

  3. Nice work!
I like oleanders too, I know many people hate them, but they make such a beautiful display when flowering.

  4. Your info around 50:00, about cutting just after the 'swell' to prevent new growth – thank you that's really valuable. Ditto about ringbarking, I don't think many people (self included) have understood that the tree's life is so close to the surface. Ppl assume carving into the surface of a tree won't hurt it. Hrm

I knew I would be inspired by your work but I was not expecting to learn so much on a Saturday morning. Awesome stuff G!

  5. I'm out of ICU and told the nurses to plug me phone in so I could watch this! Flurry of algorithm boosting comments to come haha ♡

  6. I absolutely loved the Titanic! Funny thing is that my Mom and I went to see it at the movie theater. I do tend to get really involved in the storyline and I was really involved with this one. At one point, my Mom leaned over and said “I don’t want to spoil the movie for you, but the ship sinks.” We still laugh about that today!

  7. We have wisteria (not worth the heartbreaking maintenance for two weeks of bloom imo) but I've never seen oleander. Very cool plant info ♡

  8. 100 ❤s and ⭐️s, G! Athens has a great front porch to slam a couple blonde brewskies with you and kitty 🐈‍⬛. A few bamboo shades to hide from the sun would make it poyfect. 😄 🍻 You have had a few recent toughies lately but nuttin “the boys” can’t handle, kitty 💩 and all. I salute them! 🫡😄 Athens’ front yard looks fantastic now. Can’t wait to see the backyard get tackled. See you next week! 😄♥️😻🍻

  9. Another great transformation Guillaume. I really like these older properties. Looking forward to Part 2. Wisteria is beautiful but it can be very temperamental here in the UK.❤❤

  10. You should’ve cleared that gate of the bush and the leaves/ dirt collected on the ground there, would’ve been a nicer finish js

  11. 14:43 I did this pulling a Japanes Jssmine vine from my tree. The vine snapped and I went into a heels over head roll. Didn't hurt but I had to look around to see if the neighbors saw me. It had to be a sight to see. 😂

  12. Thank you for the details on the plants. Awesome job cleaning the front and drive! 😎👍

  13. I'd seriously consider wearing a mask on this job with the cat litter. The bacteria easily gets into your lungs and it's not much fun after that 😬

  14. Always love to see what your willing to tackle! Love the pruning and the teaching experience you give us. Thanks ❤

  15. Just a thought, if you take your weed eater and place it in the trashcan and whip up the rubbish, you could fit more in it.

Great job uncovering that drive 🎉

    * you could use a metal rake ❤

  16. Russia is our shared
    enemy.
Iran hates us (for good reason).
China is wealthy and helping Iran.
Russia is providing intelligence to Iran to help target and kill American people.

At what point is Trump considered a treasonous potato?

  17. You have done a spectacular and beautiful restoration of these plants and this garden. I hope you keep recording these videos with all the gardening tips about trimming the larger bushes. BRAVO!!!

  18. It's clear you love plants. Other gardeners just seem to be doing chopping under the guise of pruning. You're amazing. With love from Japan.
