WATERTOWN — The Tug Hill Commission invites the public to join a webinar at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, to learn about the importance of pollinators and how to attract them.

This webinar will highlight the vital role pollinators play in our natural environment, and how to attract and support them. Small creatures such as moths, butterflies and bees make a huge impact. Without them, everything from flowers to the food supply chain would be impacted. Webinar participants will hear from Cierra Williams, Horticulture and Natural Resources Educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County.

This webinar is part of the Tug Hill Winter Wildlife Webinar Series, which explores the region’s diverse wildlife and conservation efforts. Stay tuned for the final part of the series at 7 p.m. April 30. Linda Gibbs, Community Programs Director at the Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust, and Irene Mazzocchi, retired Region 6 NYSDEC Wildlife Biologist will present a program about owls.
