Founded in 1960 by Harry and Mary Witte, Rockledge Gardens began as a simple roadside stand operating on the honor system before the Space Coast boom transformed the region. Through the decades, it grew into a full-service garden center spanning four acres of flowers, herbs, vegetables, trees, shrubs, and houseplants. The business was sold to new owners in 2022, with Devon Klingman and Brendan Hayes Morrison continuing the tradition alongside a knowledgeable staff that includes several Florida Certified Horticulture Professionals. Beyond retail nursery services, Rockledge Gardens offers workshops, classes, and talks on gardening topics, hosts a farmers market seven days a week featuring local produce and vendors, and provides a stunning venue at the Harry and Mary Witte Center pavilion for weddings, fundraisers, and special events.
