What do you think this is?

Last year I planted watermelon seeds in this spot, they didn’t do great, so I pulled them and moved on. Now this is THRIVING in the same spot…seriously going nuts. When it sprouted, I assumed it was a watermelon bc I put seeds there. However, this isn’t looking like watermelon anymore. Maybe it’s a pumpkin? I smashed old pumpkins in a totally different part of my yard after Halloween last year, but not here! Also doesn’t look like other pumpkins I’ve grown before (they started as dark green at this stage). Anyone have ideas? If it is a pumpkin, any thoughts on what kind? I smashed tons of shapes, colors and sizes…

Looks like zucchini or squash to me or maybe pumpkin

Yah it ain’t watermelon. If you smashed “tons of shapes, colors and sizes” of “pumpkins” then at least one of those was probably a decorative gourd of some type. This is either one of those or some hybrid from the seeds of one of them. Mice, squirrels and birds moved seeds for ya.

For summer squash it might be sunburst patty pan

Might be a result of cros-pollination between a pumpkin and watermelon

Specifically a female flower of a squash plant!
