This plant was completely chopped down to nubs a little over a year ago due to frost damage. She’s thriving now and imo is looking a bit crowded. Do you think I should separate these plants? I’m not sure how many there actually are, but certainly more than one. Bonus last pic is the 1 year growth from what little of the top cutting I could salvage!

Sorry I don’t have the knowledge but I just wanted to say WOW! You have a beautiful plant, it looks very happy

Beautiful plant(s)! It looks like three in the pot? I like mine with more than one in the same pot. I have three together. If you have the space, why not? Only thing I see is that you might want to support them with something, separately.

I have 2 in one pot on the same pole. I like the fuller look it has.

I have 6 in one pot. That’s how they came from Home Depot, never separated or messed with the roots, just up potted. 3 times in 18 months so far.

This is beautiful btw, so your decision depends on what you are looking for.

In my own experience I purchased one monstera and then made into about 8 plants.
Only thing with that is it kind starts the process over.

Some of the plant gurus I follow on socials have said that keeping them together makes for more mature leaves(with good lighting ofcourse)

I ended up putting mine back together for space and also because I want to see more mature leaves.

So make your decision according to the space you have to place them.

I’d leave it as is. I like how full it looks in the pot.

There’s some trend based on a paper (and likely plant influencers) saying to separate the plants. I personally wouldn’t unless you know what you’re doing since you can end up with issues if you break roots/water at the wrong time/put it in the wrong substrate/put in too big of a pot.

I love a full bush lol. My current monsteras are both single plants and I think they look awful and scraggly. Unless they are getting light head on the leaves won’t be facing you. I have to tie mine or I’m looking at petioles and a sliver of leaf.
