Hey all! Just moved to a house with a massive 2+ acre yard and southern direct sunlight. I’ve been a consistent gardener with soil and coco over the years but would love to venture into hydro! Essentially using a black storage tub as the reservoir and rockwool cube and coco for lower medium…I’d like to use a solar fountain pump with backup battery and was wondering if anyone has used any solar powered equipment?

Solar power with battery will work to power a pump, but the black reservoir needs shade to prevent overheating nutrients.
Also, Coco coir can produce residue that can clog your tubing.
