It depends on the weather, but I watered the top every 1-2 days. The top should be always moist. I let mine (there are a little bit older like 2 month) soak up water from the bottom twice a week till the top is wet/moist. But I am also not sure when to stop the phase with much water. So advice for that would be nice, too.

Keep them evenly moist! Which is such a vague phrase haha.

The idea is to have them consistently moist but not soaking wet. And you want to balance giving them that moisture while also reducing the growth of algae. Because algae also likes light, consistent moisture, and nutrients. There’s also mold to contend with, but assuming you sterilized your soil and have good ventilation that shouldn’t be an issue.

If you notice algae growing, cut back on watering a touch. Once their cotyledons reach full… succulence… and they look like they could tolerate drying out for an hour or so, reduce watering. I start by only letting the top 1mm dry out, then bottom water. You can then start to see when they’re thirsty more at this size once you start allowing them to dry out. They lose their shine, sometimes you can see they’re noticeably deflated. But typically I’ll be bottom watering once every 5-7 days and misting in between bottom waterings. I actually gently prod the plants, you can feel how firm they are when they’re watered vs a very slight squish when thirsty. That’s when I’ll water or mist depending on how long it’s been since I last bottom watered.

I hope that helps! Feel free to ask any more questions!
