This year I tried something different in my kitchen garden.
I planted onions throughout my raised beds — between leafy greens and where my tomatoes will grow later in the season. Onions have a strong scent that many pests tend to avoid, and I’m hopeful this companion planting helps discourage aphids, carrot flies, and cabbage worms.
Sometimes the simplest changes can help a garden thrive.

I’m doing that too this year!
Companion growing for the win but remember, some plants shouldnt be put next to others.. Good looking little garden.
Allthe best
Companion planting is so important. I do Companion planting with my vegetables and herbs. I have never done this with onions though. Onions scent is very strong. Does it affect any of the surrounding vegetables?
Thanks for sharing this companion planting tip! Can you tell me what sprinkler system you have in your raised garden bed?
Saludos desde Argentina!!!
Try it with garlic, basil, chives & other aromatic herbs. I plant every corner with chives that come back every year. Very little trouble with insect pests.
Awesome.
