Join me in today’s Flower Diaries update as I walk through how I care for my seedlings—watering, thinning, hardening off, and checking growth. These simple steps help prevent legginess, support stronger roots, and keep young plants healthy as they grow.
If you’re starting seeds indoors, this video gives you a clear look at what to do next and how to support your seedlings day by day. Also, to show you updates of what’s going on in my garden, power gardening tips, and recommendations.

  1. Crane you are the Mr. Rogers of garden content. Love you guys and Feen! 🌻🐝

  2. @cranerygardens when do you recommend mushroom compost delivery and amendment? I’m north of you need Columbus farmers market and began looking for farms close to me that delivers ❤ thank you and Jason for all you do!!

  3. Dear Crane, your videos bring such joy! I’ve been watching your channel for a few years. My husband and I are preparing our house to put on the market, time for a change, we’re moving to Cape Cod, smaller house and smaller yard. This is the first time in around 17 years that I haven’t started seeds or planned my cut flower garden. I’ve been feeling down about no flowers this year. This video made me so happy, and ready for my next garden adventure.

  4. Crane told us that he doesn’t have time to read comments so I’ll tell you guys. I love his channel it’s so different from the garden answer, garden moxie, epic gardener channels, he is very authentic and very much true to himself crane has a sleeper on his hands I know his channel will blow up

  5. Ugh, so smart about the snapdragon in that takeout lid. I always tell people, “if you need a slight curse and gift to someone that gardens, give the snapdragon seeds”. So tiny. So slow. Showy annuals, but def not instant gratification 😂

  6. As a newbie gardener at growing seeds, I have learned more from your videos than any other. Your instructions are so enjoyable to watch and your love for flowers shines through in everything you do. Your sweet pea died but my first sweet pea seedling came up overnight. 🎉

  7. Abia așteptam să văd un nou episod! Le-am văzut pe toate celelalte! Îmi place mult ce faci! Anul ăsta am început și eu grădinăritul! Urează-mi noroc!💚💚💗💗💗

  8. I love your videos! One thing I noticed is that you are using your t-post pounder upside-down. Maybe it’s intentional because you are tall – but have you tried sliding the cylinder of the t-post post pounder over the post (so the post is inside) and then use the handles to pound down with more force and control?

  9. Crane, please tell me what variety of pansy is at the 9:00 minute mark. I am in love with the violet/white/peach color combo!

  10. I was watching your weather and knew the snow storms hit your gardens not so long ago. We also had bitter cold weather in south central Pennsylvania. Your pansies look great. You have so many babies to plant. Don't burn out with working too hard in the garden. Tomorrow on March 16 there will be bad storms. My nephews school already closed for Monday because of that. Crazy weather.

  11. I love your Chanel , I notice your soil is always real wet , is this the trick to growing flowers?

  12. I love the energy you (2) bring to your garden and how cheerful, yet calm you are. Refreshing❤️ and i’m very happy i have found you🥰
