It was my birthday a few nights ago, it got very cold that night & I missed my alarm to bring them inside. Woke up the next day, and they’re goodbye. It was the first plant I ever bought 10 years ago, made it into two, multiple multiple babies. I am so upset and mad at myself. I feel stupid for cryin over a plant but they were just so beautiful.

Oh no that really hurts, especially after 10 years with it. You’re not silly at all for crying, plants carry so many memories and time with them. If any stems still feel firm there might be a tiny chance of saving a piece, but either way that one clearly meant a lot 💔

This means you know how to care for plants and you did a great job. You can do it again!

I cried earlier when I saw I clipped off a bloom while making props, I definitely don’t blame you for crying here! I’m so sorry you lost them. They absolutely were beautiful. 💚 I know it isn’t the same, but I hope you can find another pair to grow and love.

Oh god, I’m so sorry!! Don’t feel stupid for crying, this is such a loss! They were so so beautiful and represented so much time and care.

In that second picture of the devestation – it looks like a few stems and leaves might have survived? I’d have a feel through just in case!! I hope you can salvage something..

There is a chance the toots are still strong enough to put out new growth. Cut it back close to the soil and water regularly but not too heavily.

Obviously it’s not the same but they could have new life.

Oh shoot , yeah I’d be upset too . But hopefully you can find a few pieces to cut and start all over again ! But dang you did a wonderful job growing them .

Cut all burst branches and put the pots to the southern or eastern windowsill. Roots might be still alive, and the buds near roots also. Probably, it will restore. If no, don’t be upset so much, you know that these plants grow very fast. I feel your pain, because I’ve lost 90 percent of my plant collection for the same reason, my leg was injured, and I couldn’t t get them home from the cold. But some of them restored in above-mentioned way. Good luck!

These were clearly deeply loved and well taken care of. Crying is completely justified. I’m so sorry, this is heartbreaking. I hope you’re able to get some viable cuttings from them. Sending hugs 🫂

im so sorry! 🙁 if it brings you any comfort, it can still grow and maybe it’d look even better once u cut off all of it and restart!

Why didn’t you just keep them inside if it got so cold

There’s a possibility these can still be saved. Cut all the dead off and see what happens. Your babies could possibly regrow 🌿

  14. Clearly they did very, very well despite one simple, human mistake. I would cry too.
