At the bail hearing on Wednesday, the judge ordered that the suspect, identified in court documents as Alexander Weis, to have no contact with the Chihuly Garden. The judge also ordered the media to not show the suspect’s face.

During a first appearance hearing Tuesday, a judge also found probable cause to hold the suspect in custody for first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, and first-degree malicious mischief.

According to an initial arrest report, the man is accused of damaging 12 pieces of artwork, each valued at about $20,000. Museum officials said the damaged items have been removed and are expected to be replaced in the coming weeks.
