  1. These garden center walk-throughs were some of the first videos I shared on the channel 5 years ago, and I’m so grateful for all of you who’ve been here along the way. It really does feel like I’m visiting the nursery with friends. Have you done any plant shopping yet this season? We’re experiencing a little false spring here, how about you? 🌱🌱Other videos to check out…🌱🌱🌱👇👇

  2. I’ve been wanting a weeping Willow since I was a kid…..and my 52 year old self is going to pick up one this weekend! We have a spot in the middle of our back yard that is free of all structures that could get damaged.

  3. I love these videos. I just bought a small Rose Marie Magnolia, a plant known for being patient and waiting until we get past the strange weather.

  4. Gee whiz Steph. You are lucky to have a Lowe's. Not here on the Cape. Great prices! Especially on some of those trees at the beginning of your video. 😊

  5. I have 2 different varieties of Rose of Sharon, Sugar tip and White Chiffon. The Sugar tip Rose of Sharon is very well behaved, but the White Chiffon seeds itself quite a bit and I have to pull out nearly a hundred seedlings every spring. Spring will be here soon!😊

  6. Thank you, Steph, for sharing this. One note that I may have missed being said. Crabapple trees also pollinate apple trees in case someone had not known that.

  7. Glad to see your video 😊Sorry about your dog 😔My daughter has 6 praying mantis nest s.She going to have so many. I don't want none. There was a pretty butterfly i was ready to take it picture. There was a praying mantis eating it. 😒So no more. They are good for bad bugs. Can't wait to see all you do 😊Going to snow next week here in West Virginia.

  8. Hi Steph 👋Glad to see that you are still doing these videos, it is what drew me to your content a year ago. I appreciate them as this is more on the lines of gardening that I can most likely afford. My ears perked up when I heard you say that your Lowes is carrying Siberian Iris, "Butter and Sugar". I have been pining away for that plant and was not able to find at my local garden centers or nurseries last year 🙁
Hoping I will find at my local Lowes 🤞
Hope that you are doing well, as I could hear a little horseness in your voice 🙏🌻🫖Here is a cup of tea, and blessings of good health to you and George.
Update 3/13/26 Step, I was able to get the Siberian Iris pack today at my local Lowes! Thank you so much for the tip.

  9. My butterfly magnolia is setting buds and we are going to have some terrible freezing conditions and possibly some snow. Seems the usual weather when magnolias bloom.😥

  10. I tried the Dahlia Verrone's Obsidian last year and I was quite surprised at how much I loved it.. It was a pollinator magnet, very interesting foliage which drew the attention of anyone who walked past it, and it kept pushing out blooms all summer!

  11. I have an Autumn Blaze Maple that I need to remove due to it's terrible surface roots. It has been fast growing, provides shade and is beautiful in the fall but overall, it was a poor choice.

  12. I have a weeping pussy willow tree in a pot (zone 6). I'm afraid to plant it in the ground because of the aggressive roots of a willow. It's a dwarf though so idk? It looks nice in a pot. The first year I brought the pot into the garage because I didn't know it would survive being outdoors without the roots in the ground. It died. I got another one and this time I left the pot outside in a protected area and it's inside another pot and surrounded by leaves. I think it's still alive this time. Does anyone know if I could plant this into the ground or would the roots be like an actual willow tree? It's a grafted tree. Other question if anyone knows- should I take the tree out and root trim it if I'm going to keep it inside the pot?

  13. Hi Steph last year I planted large marigolds by my hostas and the deer didn't even touch them. I will be repeating that again this year.

  14. Hi Steph. You are so lucky to find the Flame Thrower redbud. I looked in quite a few stores and nurseries for that tree in New Hampshire but with no success. I did however find a Riding Sun redbud at Lowe's last year. It is so pretty as well. Hope the winter is over although we had snow overnight today!

  15. I have yellow cannas that have naturalized, zone 7 in NJ. They are protected in the corner of my side porch and house. In the summer they have west sun from noon to about 8 pm. They really like it there as I have divided and planted in other areas that are less sheltered, and they didn’t survive.

  16. Hi Steph,
Love your vids! I noticed you do a lot of garden videos regarding the garden centers at the big box stores! Can you inform them that they need a major upgrade with their garden center stores in the Finger Lake area stores in NY especially Ithaca. I could never find any of the plants that you show in your videos at either store. Hopefully they will see this and act on it. Sincerely, hopeful Gardner.
