Please excuse my crude drawing, I am running on miminal sleep with a 3 month old – we are planning on redoing our garden to make it more child friendly and have a paved area for seating/dining etc.
Garden is 13metre deep x 16metres wide. Orientation north/north west so morning sun on the upper right, travelling in front of the house and appearing as afternoon sun on the lower left and then bathing the garden until it sets.
We have French doors that open into the garden, marked in red. An oil tank upper left and a lane bottom right between house and garage that sends an ungodly amount of wind up it.
Any advice on where to place a patio? Budget is for 25sqm but can be any shape.
Most reasonable assumption is immediately outside the doors so we can create an indoor/outdoor area and see kids etc playing with a veranda etc but the windy lane is throwing me and the fact that the doors cut into the usable space by opening outward.
All creative ideas really welcome, any shape welcome also, I'm not a big fan of a standard square and decision paralysis is setting in!
