FLORESVILLE — Performances! More than 100 vendors! Classes! Food trucks! Indoor and outdoor plants! Home décor! Plus a blood drive, tractor displays, face painting — and the chance to win one of seven stupendous door prizes!
Where can you find all this and more? At the Floresville Event Center, 600 S.H. 97 W. in Floresville, on Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., as the Wilson County News presents the 19th annual South Texas Home and Garden Show. Admission and parking are free!

This free family-friendly annual event has something for everyone!

Among the plants available to purchase from the Wilson County Extension Master Gardeners this Saturday at the South Texas Home and Garden Show will be the Rodeo tomato and other tomato varieties, and various herbs, along with cucumbers, peppers, and more. The group also will offer two presentations on gardening, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
Inside and outside the Floresville Event Center, you’ll find more than 100 booths representing a host of vendors with everything from plants and garden items to home décor and crafts, baked and home-canned foods, locally grown produce, building and landscape design and contracting services, insurance and mortgage providers, and much more. And there’s something for all ages, including kids’ crafts and activities, and presentations and classes.
Door prizes
Be sure to register for door prizes at the vendor booths — seven stupendous prizes, featuring items donated by the various vendors, will be awarded throughout the event! Must be present to win.

But the offerings don’t stop there — find everything from farm-canned produce and home and garden décor to crafts, baked goods, jewelry, books, games, and snacks.
You can also enjoy performances by Rusty Duncan’s Martial Arts & Fire Dragon Tumbling students! Performances will take place in front of the stage at 9:10 a.m. and 1:10 p.m.

This free family-friendly annual event also will include free presentations by the Wilson County Extension Master Gardeners in the gym, including:
•Planting with a Purpose: Growing What Brings You Joy, 11:10 a.m.
•Boosting One’s Wellness in the Garden, 2:10 p.m.
Plus, check out the two first aid kit preparation presentations by T3R Medical Training Group in the gym at 10:10 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
Also, the Floresville Electric Light & Power System (FELPS) will have electrical safety demonstrations at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at their booth.
