When I got it, it has some nice green leaves but it got broken in transport. I still planted it in hopes but I'm not so sure now. So I came to here to see if anyone could tell me if this little guy is dead or not. Thank you for any help.

This itty bitty cane could well be dead. The canes don’t have a long life anyway. But raspberries have a lot going on below the soil. So if the roots are still alive it may very well throw out new canes this year.
Have you tried pulling on it a bit? If it is holding tightly onto the soil it is very likely still alive. If you can easily pull it out it may be done for.
From what I understand they are tough. They can be cut down to the soil and it mostly just slows them down. They send canes up in spring.
Although I’m not 100% certain that information counts if the plant has no yet established a healthy root system.
I recommend you be patient. Avoid over watering it.
If you absolutely have to know if it is still alive you can do a scratch test.
