I've had this jade since it was a small cutting about 5 years ago. Its been about this size for a few years now and I'm not sure whats going wrong. Its usually under a grow light that my other plants seem fine with. When it was in my window it was getting burnt since I don't have great indirect light. I only water with distilled water now because it was getting salt built up on the leaves. I only water when the soil is dry most of the way through. Its by no means rootbound either.

It looks etiolated to be honest, which means that it doesn’t get enough light. Jade plants live natively under bright sun, so if it has burned its leaves on a window you haven’t acclimated it properly before moving it there. Even the most sun hungry plants need to be acclimated when they come from lower light environment.
In addition its pot isn’t draining and soil seems to be too organic.
You also overwater. Jades love drought. They should be only watered their leaves get slightly wrinkly.
Lol no, this prop tray is 4 months old. You are not giving your jade enough light, as evidenced by your story telling and the space between the nodes. Give it more light and they will take off. I use regular 23w/200w equivilant daylight coloured household lightbulbs. I usually grow a little over a thousand plants a year, they are quick when they are given what the need.

They are on the slow side, but this one is asking for more light. A lot more. She’s all stretched out.
It just wants more sun.
I got a tiny one for Christmas in 2024. Left it in my window sill and it was growing but it took a full year to outgrow its small 1 inch x 1 inch pot. I decided to repot it if this past Christmas in a chunkier soil and it took off. It’s now been outside on my covered porch getting some warm air and it’s gotten even bigger in just a few months.
My jade is a relatively fast grower for a succulent.
I have mine in a clay pot that contains high quality and well draining succulent soil. I pop my pot in a vintage milk glass cover pot, but that’s just because I like that!
My jade is in an east facing window. I supplement the light with grow lights when needed. I water when the soil is totally dry and then some and totally soak the pot and let it drain. I have a water meter to check the soils moisture. If I haven’t watered in 2 weeks in winter, I will check it, 2-3 weeks in summer. I will give it a diluted houseplant fertilizer twice a year.
MAKE SURE TO TURN THE POT! This is to be sure the plant grows evenly on all sides. It may not need to be repotted for 2 or 3 years or more, depending on how much it grows.
You can easily propagate the plant. There are plenty of YouTube videos to check out if you want different methods. Propagation will make your plant bushier, too!
They are one of the easier succulents to grow. I love mine!
