Gardeners looking to get organised can currently pick up a compact greenhouse at a bargain price, with a popular portable model reduced to just over £25. The deal has appeared on home and garden retailer Yimbly, an online marketplace owned by this site’s parent company Reach Plc. What’s more, shoppers can apply an extra discount code to bring the price down even further.
The Outsunny Portable Greenhouse with Two-Tier Shelf and Roll-Up Door was originally priced at £32.99 and had already dropped to £28.04 in the sale. However, by using the code ‘SPRING10’ at checkout, the price falls to £25.24, making it cheaper than the same greenhouse currently listed on Amazon for £30.99.
The Outsunny Portable Greenhouse is designed to help gardeners extend the growing season by protecting plants from colder temperatures, wind and birds. Its structure features a steel frame that provides stability, but it is still lightweight and easy to move around the garden if needs be.
The greenhouse is covered with a polyethylene protective shell, which helps trap warmth inside while shielding plants from rain and harsh weather conditions. A roll-up door with zip fastening allows easy access for gardeners.
Inside, two-tier shelves provide space for seedlings, herbs or small vegetable plants, with each shelf supporting up to 15kg. Alternatively, at Wayfair, there is a larger portable greenhouse that has impressed a number of shoppers. The Anll 6ft by 6ft hobby greenhouse has been reduced by 14%, down from £49.99 to £42.99. At Dunelm, the VegTrug Nursery Greenhouse is priced at £99. It has wooden shelving and has been described by buyers as ‘sturdy’ and a ‘beautiful product’.
While there are no direct reviews on Yimbly, on Amazon, shoppers have rated the Outsunny Portable Greenhouse highly. One person said: “Exactly what I was after. Super easy to put together, perfect size for what I needed it for and has been solid as a rock in pretty windy weather (I attached it to both the ground and adjacent shed).”
Another wrote: “Great item. Steel poles/plastic joints make it sturdy but not too heavy. Great assembly instructions and packing. Good size. Very pleased.”
One reviewer disagreed however and said: “Had lots of tomatoes and peppers this year thanks to this greenhouse, easy to assemble but only problem, one joining elbow was provided incorrectly so shelf wasn’t exactly how it shows in the instructions, it wasn’t worth sending it back for.”

Another wrote: “This greenhouse is a good size for a small garden or space. The assembly is simple and the quality of the material is okay for the price.”
A few shoppers pointed out that, as the portable greenhouse is so lightweight, it needed placing in a sheltered spot or fixing to the ground, fence or shed to ensure it didn’t blow over in high winds.
One said: “Got this to house tender plants and bring on seedlings. Fits the bill nicely. Easy to put up on my own. Secured in a sheltered corner and so far so good. One minor criticism, the door could do with something like Velcro fastenings to hold up as ties are fiddly.”
