Many of them have already grown eyes or even root shoots, so happy to see that.
From almost 600 tubers that most of them had some rot from water damage (I cleaned it with knife before drying them and wrapping them) we had no loses, literally we didn't lose 1 tuber. We did had to throw away around 10-15% of it for not having eyes or neck was broken.

This is an automatic reminder regarding r/dahlias Rule 3:
When reasonable*, posters should make a good-faith effort to identify which variety/varieties are shown in their photo(s). If you don’t know for certain, please say so. Someone will usually know!
*Common-sense exceptions to this rule will be honored, such as if the photo does not contain a blossom, or if your photo contains large volumes (such as in wide field shots).
If you’ve already done this, thank you! No further action required.
If not, please add a reply to this comment and confirm if you know the name of your dahlia variety/varieties shown in the photo(s). Alternately, if you’re uncertain of the variety name(s), it’s ok to say that, too.

Ooh I remember your posts.
That’s great to hear.
Did any of the tubers from your [Lurelin](https://preview.redd.it/our-favorite-seedlings-second-year-growers-v0-30dy3wd7682g1.jpg?width=1022&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00b7f914225d26736d65b23276a1716b8f62f813) seedling make it? I loved that variety. Let me know if you’d be willing to sell or trade a cutting of that one.
I’ve collected A LOT of seeds from last season, but I won’t know until after this summer if any of them are stunningly gorgeous or not.
These photos are sooo helpful to me. I never knew what “eyes” meant until now. This will be my first year planting dahlias and I’ll be using your method to store for the winter after seeing this. My only concern is about dividing them up. Do you have a video on how you do that?
