Yamadori privet collection


Hi all,

Ive got these old hedge privets.
Would you take them down lower? I really want that old oak tree style bonsai.

Any tips on direction appriciated

    Nice looking yardadori. Now, the best thing for you to do is take care of it for at least a year maybe 2. Let it grow! Basic maintenance pruning til you have good enough branches to make choices. Make it healthy, build strength. thicken the trunk get it ready for root work and heavy pruning in a season or two

    If you want taper in those trunks, chop em lower.
