Shoppers have said that a “bright and realistic” hanging basket from Dunelm gets “lots of compliments” and adds a “permanent pop of colour” to front doors, porches and gardens. The hanging basket is said to be ideal for people who want the look of fresh flowers on display without the maintenance.
Dozens of Dunelm customers have praised the Artificial Petunia Plant in Hanging Basket. Bosses at the homeware retailer said that the hanging basket helped “brighten up outdoor spaces” when displayed outside the entrance.
Dunelm bosses wrote online: “Strikingly realistic looking, this piece is perfect for uplifting the appearance of your home with none of the maintenance of a real plant. Complete with basket and modern chain attachment, this plant is ready to be installed when purchased.”
Buyers will need to source a place to hang the plant, as the wall bracket isn’t included with the package. These types of outdoor fixtures are available from retailers such as Amazon, B&Q, Screwfix, and others.
There are similar hanging baskets available elsewhere for people wanting to add some colour to the front of their properties. Very is selling the Smart Garden Faux Petunia Hanging Basket (£40), B&Q offers the Artificial Petunia Flowers Rattan Hanging Basket (£24.99), and Asda has its own Petunia Cone Hanging Basket (£12), reports the Mirror.

Most Dunelm customers who snapped up this artificial plant said it appeared “very attractive” and “well worth” the asking price. One wrote: “I bought two matching baskets. They’re very full of flowers and greenery. The baskets themselves are solid wood pieces. The flowers are small but vibrant. Very attractive to the eye. Very pleased with the purchase. An attractive addition to my garden.”
Another said: “Great artificial hanging baskets look great on my porch entrance door. Good bright flowers and foliage. Strong hanging baskets with chains.”
Someone else put in their revire: “Lovely quality and very realistic. Lots of compliments from neighbours.” A fourth buyer shared: “Beautiful baskets. Really pretty in a lovely basket. Bring colour to my patio space. Highly recommended.”

However, not every shopper was delighted with what they received. One customer said in their three-star review: “Lovely little cones, but the flowers do look a bit cheap when close up, and don’t think it will last long.”
This was the lowest score the hanging basket earned, with just a handful of minor complaints in four-star reviews. One mentioned their basket had “not enough flowers”, another also claimed it “could benefit from more flowers” and one more suggested there was a “lack of stems”.
However, despite a few minor issues, the majority of customers deemed this decoration worthy of a five-star review. A customer said: “Great artificial flowers and just what I wanted for the porch. It gets sun all day, and this adds a pop of colour. Not too big and great quality.”
One more said: “Love these baskets! Got so many compliments already and have been told they look like ‘real’ flowers.” Another put: “Lovely hanging basket, flowers look real hanging outside my front door. I get lots of comments asking where I purchased them.”
