Today I’m planning my 2026 garden and going through all of my seeds from last year to see what I already have and what I still need to buy before seed starting begins. 🌱
In this video I sort through my seed collection, organize my garden plans, and make a list of the seeds and supplies I need to start my garden for the new growing season. Planning ahead helps me save money, avoid overbuying seeds, and make sure I’m ready when it’s time to start seedlings.
If you’re planning your garden for 2026, organizing seeds, or preparing for seed starting season, I hope this video encourages and helps you get ready for your own garden!
Thanks so much for watching and following along on our journey of gardening, cooking from scratch, and simple homemaking.

Great video. Basil and tomatoes are very good friends ❤ 🌱🍅 Gardening humbles me so much…The omnipotence of our Creator and the testimony of His care for us literally in my hands…Sending prayers for a bountiful harvest Friend. Much love from Ohio❤
I'm new to gardening also. I've sprouted pumpkin and arugula seeds that I've had stored for 2 years. These were sprouting seeds meant for eating as sprouts. Well, they didn't germinate very much after 2 years, only 9 of each, so I decided to grab my dollar store little mulch-made cups and put them under a grow light, using the same soil as I have in my raised beds so as to avoid root shock. I have a grow light inside and I put the cups on an old cookie sheet. I use a spray bottle so as not to overwhelm the sprouts, and they are growing! Today I saw a video that said to put 1 teaspoon 3% hydrogen peroxide per cup water in the spray bottle to introduce oxygen down into the roots. I'll see how it goes!
