Seems like the little guy is attacking the big one. These two trees are not part of my property; they’re on school grounds. Would you all say that the small tree needs some trimming before it completely overtakes on the bigger tree? What kind of trees are these?

My guess is a cork screw willow.

They shed constantly and large branches break 20 feet up, but only brake half-way and hang there mocking you.

    Good luck.

The small tree isn’t “attacking the big one”. You have vines that need to be severed.

Looks like wild honeysuckle vines going from the small to the large.  They will kill the tree and smaller tree eventually.  You should reach through the fence and see where the vines come out the ground, and cut them off. Then monitor. They will regrow!  Big tree is corkscrew willow.  I can be pruned to a stump and still regrow.  Not as messy as weeping willow.  Branches easily rooted in water or wet soil
