I have an old slide like this one and it’s getting to the point where it’s no longer safe as a slide. I’m looking for ideas to repurpose this?

Install it in the barn to feed livestock with, from the loft

You ever see those 55 gallon drums cut in half to make raised planter? Turn them into weird shape raised planters.

Just keep letting the kids use it. Only the strong survive on a farm

Build a chicken coop up high to protect from predators. Chicken chute to get the girls outside in the morning

It would make cool fish habitat in a pond.

Change the ends so you can collect rain water

If you have a forest area on your property or a spot out of the way, lay it there cover with leaves sticks etc. and place a bit of dirt/leaves inside to cover the plastic floor a bit. You have then made a great habitat similar to a hollow log for many creatures to find!

Imagine a pond at the top and a pond at the bottom. But the slide/pipe and have the lower end be a waterfall.

Put an air horn on one end and annoy the fuck out of your neighbors

Use it cut in half as a raised garden bed

  11. put some carpet samples in it and let the barn cats use it to get into the loft

I also have one laying out back and I’ve been racking my brain trying to repurpose it.

I believe it can be straightened out. Culvert?
We use play sets all over for our goats. Hay slide mentioned seems like a good idea.

  16. Egg shoot. Have all the hen eggs slide down to you.

Or you could sell it and buy something you really need with the cash

My dear lady, sir, or madam of course one must consider what a fine hat this would make.

    Duck slide
Might have to cut it in half but they would use it

Put some holes in it, plug the bottom and stuff it with soil then plant herbs or flowers in the holes and make it a cool, swirly planter.

  21. So you know how hamsters have those elaborate tube setups for their cages? Maybe it’s time you get some capybara.

Flow through composter. Throw everything in the top and let it just pile up at the bottom.

  23. Tpbrown_

Put it on its side and use as a compost tumbler

  24. karma-whore64

Cut in half and use for water collection

If you chipped it you could likely turn it into filament for a 3d printer.

If there’s no serious mechanical force you can use printed stuff pretty universally, if there is you can use the parts for prototyping ceramic or metal
